...from time to time, some thoughts need to get out...Farewell Patrick!
Author: Zeldin - written on 31.12.2014

Dear Patrick, may this be the condolence from the the group that was co-founded by you long time ago. We want to give you our last salute. I (Zeldin) know how much you were breathing the spirit of the scene. That's why I thought a goodbye demo would have made you happy. You and me exchanged lots of mails about how much we both enjoyed the good ol' days and of course: how much we miss them... It was this tie that emotionally connected us for over 15 years. Thanks for all your help in supporting the group and your indefatigable endeavour in spreading our name. Your tattoos were legendary! Thanks for your work on fb and youtube. Your channels were appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks for being such a good chap. You'll be sorely missed!!!
Mach's gut, Patrick... den Adler im Herzen, sge4ever!

08.05.2025 - C64 game 'Eight Links' released - free for download
Eight Links is a Commodore 64 variant of 8 Links by Anton, a seemingly simple puzzle game where you have to put down tiles with links to their neighbors and create the longest possible chain of connected tiles for a greater score. In this game, however, the object is somewhat simpler: just find as many connections as possible for each tile on the same 4x4 grid. This small change affects scoring but the core ideas remain the same.

05.05.2025 - What is Game 31? Recreating Satoru Iwata's First Inspiration - video by '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Before Satoru Iwata became the President of Nintendo, before HAL Labs, even before his Commodore days while attending university, he found his love of computer games in a subway station in Sapporo, Japan. It was the mysterious "Game 31" which we know little about, but I've decided to attempt to recreate it on the Commodore 64 anyway. Learn a bit about Mr. Iwata's early life, as we look into a math "number-crunching" game that sparked a love of gaming in someone that went on to make a very large impact on Commodore, Nintendo, and the video game industry at large.
