12.05.2024 - C64 game 'Broken Mirror' released - free for download
‘Broken Mirror’ was originally an interactive fiction game created in a programming language called ALAN IF. Now it was ported over to C64, becoming a great looking adventure horror game, by Tommie Hansmar with music by 4Gente Zeus Zardax.

11.05.2024 - Firmware version 3.11a - for U2+L - Dated 2024-05-10
This version adds WiFi support for the Ultimate II+L, the C64 floppy emulator and versatile multifunction cartridge. Additions: 1. WiFi support - Now that the WiFi modules for the U2+L are available, you will need this firmware to enable it. In this zip there are two files; the firmware update for the cartridge itself (.u2l) file and the firmware file for the ESP WiFi module (.esp). They have to be applied in this order. 2. Ethernet fix - Improves compatibility with some switches and routers. The LAN should now work with these. 3. Garbled characters fix. - On some machines, especially on NTSC machines, the 3.11 firmware gave some timing issues. This build should fix that. 4 .Ulticopy fix - In 3.11 Ulticopy was broken; it should work again - supposedly - not tested.

Step into the monochromatic and mind-bending universe of Shift, where black and white landscapes hide more than meets the eye! This is a preview release. It contains the first 10 levels of the game. It is missing a few features (e.g. sound effects), and very likely contains bugs. You can get the game as digital download for a bargain (name your own price) to support the developer.

08.05.2024 - C64 game 'Deadline' released - free for download
'Deadline' is a classic text adventure for the Commodore 64 and was made by the group The Cracking Tomatoes presumably in the late eighties, but not released. Until today.

More footage of Street Fighter 1 for Amiga, made with Scorpion engine, which is currently in development. This time we see added hit sparks and sound effects. Now it sounds like a fighting game.

07.05.2024 - C128 game 'Castle Quest' released
'Castle Quest' is an old school text adventure game. Your quest: rescue the kidnapped princess! The game was already released for C64 and VIC-20. This version is for the Commodore 128 in 80 column mode and you can get it as digital download for little money (name your own price) to support the developer.

05.05.2024 - Amiga game 'King And Balloon' released
In 'King And Balloon' the player battles with attacking colored balloons, protecting his king wile destroying as many balloons as he can. This game is a 1:1 arcade port of the game King&Balloon by namco from 1980 for the Amiga 500. The game is written in 68k assembler, based on the original Z80 code and you can get it as digital download for a little money (name your own price) to support the developer.

Welcome to Warzone - an epic battle for dominance! In this C64 game two players take the helm of rival nations locked in a relentless war for supremacy. 04.05.2024 - This Game Cheats? Hal Labs' LeMans for Commodore 64 (Part 3) - video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Finally we dig into the disassembled code of LeMans, with a focus on the time-keeping and scoring routines that are directly tied to this game's very flexible definition of a second. Can we conclusively show that this game cheats? Along the way we find a really neat trick for detecting multiples of 20,000 points, and other conventional and unconventional approaches to C64 game development. LeMans is one of the launch titles of the Commodore 64 and Commodore Max, released back in 1982, and it was developed by Hal Laboratory, possibly by Satoru Iwata himself.
