31.08.2026 - 'Uchotos' - game for C64 and Plus/4 released - free for download
'Uchotos' is a classic arcade platformer. Avoid or shoot the enemies and collect all stars on screen to reach the next level. Uchotos is the newest game by Japanese developer Inufuto and as always, there are several version for different computer systems. The Plus/4 version can be downloaded here.

30.08.2026 - Plus/4 game 'Paddle Shooter: War At Jupiter' released - free for download
'Paddle Shooter: War At Jupiter' is a shooting game for two players and an updated version of 2008's Paddle Shooter. The interesting thing about this version is the MIDI music, which requires custom hardware: a MIDI OUT card. Be sure to watch the YouTube video to hear what it sounds like! The schematics and Arduino source files are included.

22.08.2026 - 'TFREAX' - game for C64, C16/Plus4 and VIC-20 released
'TFREAX' is a fast paced shoot-em up, adding new twists to a familiar theme. Besides the Commodore versions, there are also versions for Atari 400/800, ZX Spectrum, MS-DOS, or Windows/Linux via SDL. The VIC-20 version is just 3k! You can get all ports of the game as digital download for a bargain (name your own price) to support the developer.

19.08.2026 - 'GD Snake' - game for C64 and Plus/4 released - free for download
'GD Snake' is another Snake game, this time seen from the side - and this time gravity has an opinion. Your snake is a rigid body. Step off a ledge and the whole thing drops. Apples make you longer, and length is the only way up: to reach a ledge H cells high you need at least H+1 segments, anchored on the ground, so the snake can rear up and grab the edge. Get the snake's head onto the exit, either by stepping there or by falling onto it. That's the whole win condition. The Plus/4 version can be downloaded here.

12.08.2026 - C64 version of 'Shikaku' released - free for download
Shikaku is a relaxing Japanese logic puzzle game, now available for the C64 after it was already released for Plus/4 in July 2026. The goal of the game is simple: divide the board into rectangles so that each rectangle contains exactly one number, and its area matches that number. Easy to learn, but increasingly challenging as the puzzles become more complex.

07.08.2026 - 'International Karate' port for Plus/4 released - free for download
After we first saw a preview of this game at the Arok Party 2025, Ati released the full version of his International Karate for Plus/4. Fight your way through iconic locations, starting from white belt, all the way to black belt! Unlike the old C16 conversion, this game includes all the minigames as well. The in-game graphics looks amazing, matching the C64 quality, thanks to the clever way colors have been handled, taking the Plus/4's capabilities into account.

02.08.2026 - 'Moria8' v1.5.0 - game for C64 and Plus/4 released
The classic 1983 game Moria has been ported to many platforms over the years, and recently Chad Gibbons ported it to several 8-bit platforms, including Plus/4 and C64. V1.5.0 of the game dropped now. The game is a roguelike, inspired by The Lord of the Rings. The objective of the game is to dive deep into the Mines of Moria and kill the Balrog. Sounds simple, right? In fact the game is very complex: your choice of class and race matters, there's many resources to manage, spells to learn and equipment to identify.

27.07.2026 - Plus/4 game 'Retrogods' released - free for download
'Retrogods' is a complex puzzle-adventure. The objective of the game is to collect all the pieces of the runestone on each level and then find your way out. Guide Grágel and his small companion Rudin to collect runestone pieces, and ultimately escape his code-based reality to find the Retrogods.This game promises to be truly unique: a blend of strategic stealth and time-manipulation mechanics, rich in lore. Alas, this might not be the final version. According to the devs, more narrative, levels, and even endings are coming. Stay tuned!

26.07.2026 - Plus/4 game 'Shikaku' released - free for download
'Shikaku' is a grid-based puzzle game for Plus/4: players must strategically divide a rectangular board into smaller squares and rectangles. Each carved section must contain exactly one number that precisely dictates that piece's total mathematical area. The implementation is gorgeous: the game beautifully captures a traditional Japanese aesthetic, immersing players with its vibrant colors, animated petals, and Bonsai imagery. If you love logic puzzles, you must check it out!

21.07.2026 - Plus/4 game 'Scramble Arcade' released - free for download
'Scramble Arcade' for the Plus/4 is, as the name suggests, a conversion of Scramble, the famous horizontally scrolling shooter video game developed and published by Konami for arcades in 1981.

19.07.2026 - 'PETSCII Dungeons & Droids' - game for C64 and Plus/4 released
'PETSCII Dungeons & Droids' is a tactical roguelike deck-building card battler for C64 and Plus/4. You wake up at the bottom of a dark labyrinth crawling with malfunctioning machines. Your only weapons? A deck of cards and a handful of dice with opinions of their own. Engage in tactical card battles, steal unique abilities (Widgets) from defeated droids, and bolt them onto your own kit to escape. But beware - luck plays a big part, and sometimes the dice have completely different plans for you. You can get the C64 version of the game as digital download for a bargain (name your own price) to support the developer. The Plus/4 port is available for download here.

18.07.2026 - Plus/4 emulator YAPE 1.4.0 released
YAPE is a decent no-nonsense Plus/4 emulator thats being developed for 10+ years. It is available in Windows as well as multiplatform editions. Version 1.4.0 brings one of the most peculiar hardware additions to YAPE: support for Sukkopera's SoundX board with a Yamaha Adlib YM3812 (OPL2) sound chip, implemented via an external DLL I created based on the excellent Nuked-OPL3 library (included in the package for now). Besides the new sound hardware, this version also improves source-level debugging by extending the supported assembly listing formats with CA65 (and fixes for others) and enhancing the Find dialog in the LST source window. Several emulation and debugger fixes have also been made, together with a number of general bug fixes.

09.06.2026 - 'Eclipse' - game for C64, C128, Amiga, Plus/4 and Mega65 (and even more systems) released
'Eclipse' is is an adaptation of the Italian adventure Morgan Tyler: Eclypse by Bonaventura Di Bello. It was originally written using The Quill and Illustrator and published by Edizioni Hobby S.r.l. on the cover tape of Epic 3000, no. 7, December 1986 for the ZX Spectrum. It was later published on the cover tape of Explorer, no. 7, May 1987 for the Commodore 64 and MSX. It has now been translated to English and rewritten for a modern audience with the original author's permission. This new version includes many enhancements that weren't in the original. 22.05.2026 - Plus/4 emulator YAPE 1.3.0 released
YAPE is a decent no-nonsense Plus/4 emulator thats being developed for 10+ years. It is available in Windows as well as multiplatform editions. Version 1.3.0 is a milestone release, as from now on it is possible to do source level debugging in YAPE. You can either set the source file name (.LST) from the command line or just simply load it via the monitor menu directly. The external monitor itself has also been fully revamped with an unlimited scrollback buffer, better command history etc. On top of all this, many emulation improvements have been made, mostly focusing on a few of TED's remaining peculiarities this time.

'Dr. Margo' is the Plus/4 interpretation of Dr. Mario, the 1990 puzzle video game developed and published by Nintendo for the NES and Game Boy. Help Dr. Margo eliminate viruses! As the capsules drop, you can move and rotate them. Match four (or more!) of the same color to make them disappear. Get rid of all the viruses to clear a level. Can you beat Level 20 on HI speed?
