Here is a sneak preview of the upcoming 8bit-Unity 0.4 Tech Demo. It is a Diablo inspired dungeon crawl, shown running on 5 different platforms: Atari 8bit, Atari Lynx, C64, Apple // and Oric 1/Atmos. This is going to be the most complete Tech Demo so far, almost a full game! But despite the complexity, actual game code is a mere 500 lines. This is thanks to the simple yet powerful 8bit-Unity API. Redpill, the Amiga game creator, is a tool to empower people to create many games for Amiga without programming knowledge. It allows people to create 2D games with the true Amiga feeling. Supports both ECS and AGA Amigas, it is free and it is still in development. List of changes in 0.8.0: -Compiler changed from Amiblitz 2.44 to Amiblitz 3.8. This has some implications: -Now lower limit to play games is a Motorola 68000 instead of a 68020. -There are two editors, one generic and one for 020+. -When exporting a game you have to select if it is generic or for 020+. -Performance seems slightly better. -To avoid compilation issues, some more memory is used by the game player.

With Multipaint, you can draw pictures with the color limitations of some typical 8-bit computer platforms. The screen formats supported are Commodore 64 high resolution, Commodore 64 multicolor, Commodore Plus/4 Hires, Commodore Plus/4 multicolor, ZX Spectrum, ZX ULAplus, MSX 1, Amstrad CPC mode 0/1 (and 0 with Overscan), Sinclair QL and Atari ST low resolution. Multipaint 2020 is the seventh major release of Multipaint. This version has been exported with Processing 3, with the aim to increase stability especially with newer Java versions. This version also introduces resizable application window, Dark theme, SET GRID dialogue with arbitrary grids and grid offset, Amstrad CPC mode 0 overscan complete with export, C64 "free" mode with no attribute limitations, more informative conversions between modes, better ULAplus conversions, added dialogue for importing png images and auto border-cropping images (where relevant&possible). You can also "recall" a mode change.

'Tristam Island' is a text adventure made from the mold of Infocom and is available for Commodore PET, VIC-20,Plus/4, C64, C128, Amiga and even MEGA65. Expect a large geography to explore, lots of prose, a rich parser, diverse puzzles, some humor and some darkness. Story: After crashing your plane at sea, you end up drifting to a small island, with not much to survive. You explore, and find out the island was inhabited, years ago. But why did the people leave? And why is there a fence around the white house at the top of the hill?

This is a quick playthrough of Neptune Lander Elite (NTSC) Version 1.2 (released today) using my Commodore 64C. This new released fixed a few issues including NTSC support. My previous gameplay video was on PAL emulated version.
