02.03.2023 - Commodore PET 8K game 'Tower And Dragon' released
Tower And Dragon has been released for the Commodore PET! Tower And Dragon is a classic dungeon crawling adventure with primary and offhand weapon, armor, quest storyline, moving walls, teleportation, and unique tilesets and monsters for each dungeon level. The game only requires 8K of memory and is available as free digital download (see video description).

28.02.2023 - New version of the Flicker-free 'Elite' for C64 and Plus/4 released
There is a new patched version of Elite for C64 (PAL/NTSC) and Plus/4 ready for download that drastically improves the quality of the graphics. It does this by removing most (but not all) of the flicker from the ship-drawing and planet-drawing routines.

28.02.2023 - WIP Amiga game 'Creeping Me Out: Hex Night' - Demo 1.5 released
'Creeping Me Out: Hex Night' is going to be an action platformer in the vein of Turrican & Castlevania, made in Scorpion Engine. Demo 1.5 is now available! It's functionally the same as 1.4 with a few bug fixes.. But also adds a separate AGA build with some optimisations and new backgrounds and effects!

26.02.2023 - C64 game 'Blockie' finished and released
Richard Bayliss has been working hard the past few months to finish off an abandoned Columns clone which was infamously released into PD and onto Commodore Format’s covertape in an incomplete form around 30 years ago. This has now been fully completed and you can download a playable version of the game, with proper scoring and with the ability for the game to end.

This week on 10 MinuteAmiga Retro Cast (10MARC) Doug is covering two audio samplers and a great audio package for the Amiga 1000 (although the information relates to all Amigas) We look at the Progressive Peripherals PerfectSound, the FutureSound sampler and Aegis AudioMaster III.

26.02.2023 - C64 game 'Accuse' released
After the minimal Cloak of Darkness demo game, developer Marco Giorgini decided to reimplement another "classic" little IF game, using his storytllr64, a WIP C64 graphic text adventure engine. This time he has selected Accuse, by David A. Wheeler, a 2007 (vaguely) Cluedo-like replayable game, released under GPL 2 or later license. A murder, in a mansion, with three suspects, three potential murder weapons, and five locations, and you, a detective with "powers", able to understand if a specific accusation is correct or not. You can get the game as digital download for a bargain (name your own price).

25.02.2023 - Redux version of 'Sir Knight' released for Plus/4 and C16
Sir Knight is your noble knight who has been asked by King Arthur to rescue the beautiful Princess Ethel imprisoned in Black Skull Castle. Original game written by Chris Robbins for Tynesoft Computer Software. This redux version now fits into 16K and will run on a stock Commodore 16 (the original was 32K) and is available as free digital download. It also includes the following new features: - Screen flicker/raster fix. - All new music and sfx. - Overlapping soft sprites. - Number of levels extended from 14 to 30. - Level names and numbers. - Checkpoint at level 16. - New, extended hi score table and screen. - NTSC fixed. - Cheat modes included. - Joystick control and choice of keys. - New graphics and end screen. - Reason for death shown. - Extra life every 20,000 points

24.02.2023 - C64 game mod 'Seawolf II' released and free for download
Sea Wolf is a shooter arcade game manufactured by Midway, originally released for arcades in 1976, ported to C64 and released under the name 'Seawolf'.by Commodore in 1982. 'Seawolf II' is a modded version of it by Oziphantom/Protovision. So what is added/changed: - Ugly sprite clipping in the borders replaced with smooth scroll. - Animated waves like in the arcade. - Joystick/paddle selection. - Removed flicker for software sprites. - Added 3 more ships from the arcade (C64 original had just 3). - Changed torpedoes to resemble those of the arcade (as far as technical limitations allowed...). - Updated sound effects. - and much more other stuff...
