22.07.2023 - C64 game 'Chaluul's Curse' released - free for download"Chaluul's Curse" is a C64 port of a PC adventure that was on the cover CD of issue 11/95 of the German computer games magazine "PC Spiel". The C64 version was created by Sönke Wolfgramm using the D42 Adventure System by Stephan Lesch and Tobias Erbsland. The game is also available as German version.
22.07.2023 - C64 game 'Dig Dug Revival' released - free for downloadThis game is a homage to Dig Dug, an arcade game developed by Namco in 1982. In this version, the playfields are generated randomly. The game works perfectly on both PAL and NTSC models.

19.07.2023 - German 'ASM Magazin' is backASM returns - The ASM (Aktueller Software Markt), a popular computer magazine in the late 1980s, is still revered in retro circles today. It has recently made a comeback after a 28-year hiatus. The new issue, 3/23, aims to provide an overview of the current 8-bit and 16-bit software market, just like it did in the past. However, the new ASM is more than just a software magazine. It also pays tribute to the old ASM editions from the 1980s. There are plenty of interviews with former editors, which offer interesting insights into the daily work of software journalists at that time.
17.07.2023 - Plus/4 port of Lemmings released - free for downloademmings is a puzzle-strategy video game originally developed by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis for the Amiga in 1991. There are ports for several systems, including C64, now there is also a version for Plus/4, rebuilt from scratch. It was made by TCFS, who also brought us 'Wizard Of Wor Classic!' for Plus/4 and was released at Árok Party 2023.

15.07.2023 - Amiga game 'Boxx Remake V1.0' released - free for downloadBoxx is a small platform game that was originally made in 2014 for the Commodore Amiga. But it was made with Backbone so it had poor performance. Now, in 2023, the game is ported to the much better Scorpion Engine and runs a lot smoother. This remake has updated graphics, sfx and new code based on Boxx 4.

10.07.2023 - Cracking a C64 Game From Cassette: Livingstone, I Presume? - video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'In a previous video we took a look at the crash in the Commodore 64 port of the Operasoft game "Livingstone, I Presume?", unraveling the cause of the crash and coming up with a live-patch to fix the problem. This time we learn how to "crack" the game from the original cassette so we can patch the game and save it to disk permanently fixed, rather than having to re-patch the game every time it's loaded. Check the video description for links to everything I reference.
