22.12.2025 - 'Games That Weren't 64' (GTW64) - GTW64 Christmas update 2025
GTW64 ends the year with a nice set of new releases and recoveries. Besides 5 new entries and 20 updates, that were added, you can download the following stuff: complete version of ‘Sooty and Sweep 2’ – full games recovered (two versions!). ‘Thomas the Tank Engine 2: The Race’ - full game recovered. ‘Paddle Mania’ – Playable advanced preview recovered. ‘Rooster Booster’ – What became ‘Bombo’, special prototype recovered. ‘Spindizzy’ prototype – recovery of a very early prototype. ‘Kick Off 2’ prototype – very early look at Anco’s football game. ‘Cyborg Mission’ – complete Hungarian SEUCK effort recovered.

Invanoid is an experimental retro game for Amiga 1200 that combines classic Space Invaders and Breakout mechanics into one intense arcade battle. The player controls a paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting projectiles and destroying ranks of enemies who are constantly descending. Attack of the Killer Asteroids is a SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis homebrew game demo that takes inspiration from the arcade game Pang and adds some 1950s America B movie style to the graphics. This Amiga version has been created using the Scorpion Engine by earok and building on the demo provided by that Engine.

'Memory Schmemory' is a traditional Memory game for Amiga but with option for more players. The game was made using Blitz Basic (AmiBlitz3) as an entry to Phaze101's Memory Game Jam. Full source code is also available for download. Requires AGA (because of all the different game sprites with their own unique palette).

'Carcer' is a puzzle game by Haplo (maker of 'Shift', 'Tenebra', ''Ooze: The Escape' and 'Caim'), where your goal is to escape the dungeons, but there's a catch... each step you take, you need to drop a coin behind you. You can't move with zero coins but you can always go back and pick up the coins you have dropped. 'Cat and Mouse' is a maze game with similarities to Pac-Man for Amiga (OCS/ECS). This is a fan-developed port of Boulder Dash, adapted from the BBC micro / Electron version. There are 6 different versions of the game which all run with the same game engine but have different caves. Requires a VIC-20 with a 32K RAM expansion. You can download a .d64 file with the game here.
