01.09.2023 - Fastest C64 10 PRINT (one-line) With New Benchmark BASIC? - video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
What's the fastest one-line 10 PRINT (maze) program we can write in Commodore 64 BASIC? To make experimental benchmarking easier, Robin created a small utility called Benchmark BASIC (download link below) that soft-patches the C64 BASIC and KERNAL ROMs to automatically report the run time of programs like 10 PRINT once the screen is full. Thanks to Alex Johnson for his speedy two-line version of 10 PRINT that helped inspire this video.

31.08.2023 - Amiga game 'Frogger500' Beta 2 released - free for download
As the name suggests 'Frogger500' is a 1:1 arcade port of the game 'Frogger' by 'Konami' from 1981 for the Amiga 500. The game is written in 68k assembler, based on the original Z80 code. The following things are included in Beta 2: - a handful of sound fx. - Joystick on port 2 is supported. - removed some logical bugs. - Increased game stability on A600/A1200

30.08.2023 - 'Games That Weren't 64' (GTW64) - August 2023 updates
As summer starts to near the end, GTW64 continues to squeeze out more updates for the C64 archive - which seems to have no end in sight! An early Karl Hörnell game and 19 Boot Camp - Part 2 graphics were found. Also 5 new entries and 19 other updates were added.

28.08.2023 - Freeway Triton Lite for Zorro 2 and Zorro 3 Amigas Review - video from '10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast'
This week 10MARC is reviewing the awesome Freeway Triton Lite USB card for your big box amiga computer. This should work on most ZORRO enabled machines with at least a 25 Mhz 68030 CPU and at least 8 MB of RAM. Matthias Hampel did a great job on these!

27.08.2023 - Update of WIP Amiga game 'Settle the World' (270823) released
Settle the World is a turn-based building and trading game with a focus on local multiplayer (up to four players on one Amiga computer), which you can download for free. In this so called 'The -Farm-Update' lays the technical foundations for the future development of the game. For this purpose, a large part of the programme code was rewritten, which unfortunately took several months. Pioneers can now build farms after the citizens of your cities have reached the worker class for the first time. Farms are needed later in the game to supply the aristocrat class with meat and wine.

27.08.2023 - New demo version 3 for WIP Amiga platformer 'Super Delivery Boy' released
Super Delivery Boy is a new family-friendly platformer game in development for Commodore Amiga made with Scorpion Engine. It's been 2 years since the last update. Despite the lack of public updates, the game has been constantly improved with better gameplay and new features even if at lower pace - almost 50 changelists since the last public demo! There might be some minor bugs but overall the game is quite stable. The demo version is available as digital download for little money (name your own price).

Karate Champ, the old arcade game by Data East from 1984, is now finally ready. Ported to Amiga, it should run on any amiga with 2MB RAM. 22.08.2023 - Plus/4 port of 'Stunt Car Racer' released - free for download
'Stunt Car Racer' for Commodore Plus/4 was adapted by cobbpg, title screen TEDified by Unreal. This is a port of the C64 version, and the manual for the original game mostly applies here as well. The gameplay works exactly the same way as the original, but the menu has been slightly changed: So there's a new manage menu that houses all the non-racing actions, notably Hall of Fame, Load/Save and Restart. Furthermore there are some altered game save mechanisms.
