26.11.2025 - Plus/4 emulator YAPE 1.2.7 releasedYAPE is a decent no-nonsense Plus/4 emulator thats being developed for 10+ years. It is available in Windows as well as multiplatform editions. Another batch of bugs have been fixed and some new functionality was added, too. Here are the details: - new 64-bit 'Developer' build with trace window instead of the old 32-bit one, - more informative trace window, - new asynchronous keyboard input mode (positional mapping) as a fallback for DirectInput, - added option to turn off legacy (old MMSYSTEM based) joystick support, - improved TV vertical retrace emulation, - proper CRC checksum for 1581 disk headers (drive ROM no more patched), - better aspect ratio with multiline menu bars, - SID card detection via paddle port, - saving to video without sound now works, - IEC folder directory bugfix, - tape play & stop button sense regressions, - odd tape load error caused by long pulses

Features: 6 main Levels including 2 bombing missions, 6 bonus Levels, 5 Bosses, 5 different locations, 5 tunes, 78 colours, 3 different pickups. 25.11.2025 - 'Capture C16' - game for C16 / Plus/4 released - free for download'Capture C16' is a challenging puzzle, and difficult to beat when one plays against the computer. The game was originally written in Dartmouth BASIC in 1976 for mainframe and teletype terminal, and appeared in People's Computers magazine in the July/August 1977 issue. This new C16 version is based on a PET version from Oglesby's 1980 book "PET Games and Recreations". It has added color and sound, and it's converted for C16 PETSCII characters and video RAM.

The board is actually broken, with missing PCB sections, lifted traces, bad solder joints and a badly reinstalled 6526!
22.11.2025 - I made a new VIC-20 Game - Quarx! - video by 'The 8-Bit Guy'Over the years 'The 8-Bit Guy' has developed a number of games starting back in 2017 with Planet X2 for the Commodore 64, in 2018 with Planet X3 for MS-DOS and then in 2020 the first PETSCII Robots game for the PET. Now he has decided to give it a try with a new game project on the VIC-20.
