It's no secret that Adrian simply loves the JVC built Commodore 1702 monitor. It's a solidly built and excellent performing monitor. One thing that lets the monitor down is the fact that isn't a multi-standard monitor, meaning it only support PAL _or_ NTSC (depending on where the monitor is from). Another common problem with these monitors is that most 1702 monitors are now nearly 40 years old, and can be quite worn out. Let's fix both of these issues by making a one of a kind multi-format and improved 1702 monitor!

'Bombtank' is a small Bomberman. clone for the Plus/4. In the standard version, up to 5 players can play at the same time. With the WheelOfJoy variant, up to 8 players can play at the same time; the WOJ from Sukkopera is required as additional hardware. Not all joysticks have to be equipped, the order doesn't matter at all. The minimum number of required player is 2. In the YAPE emulator there is a small problem with the standard version because there is no SID Joyport there. But it works perfectly on a Plus4. This is still a beta version especially for the competition. The final version is coming soon.

We examine how to do this, why this might be beneficial, and give some example code in BASIC and Assembly. We also learn a bit about how BASIC parses and interprets our code, and the internal structure of these commands and programs. And we look at the Commodore 128 feature to RUN a file from disk that further enhances the use of parameters.
