07.02.2020 - New C64 game 'Major Blink' released
'Major Blink' was originally released for C16 in 1985 and is the second game of the so called 'Berks' trilogy. Take the role of Major Blink, the creator of the Berks, who has now become a painter and paint all blocks from all sides while avoiding drones and bears.

Beloved game oldie 'Kaiser', a game that once helped starting the typical german style economic simulations, has been translated to english by the scene group 'Excess'.

06.02.2020 - 1990's Amiga games publishing label 'Mutation Software' is returning
They announce to re-release range of hand signed limited edition boxed remastered retro games in Physical form on floppy disk, for true Amiga collectors everywhere. Plus they're now developing a NEW game for release in both Physical and Digital form on Amiga later in 2020 too!

The shareware programm (7 Euro) GoADF! can read and write ADF files and, among others, can mount them as virtual drives. New features: new option for convert images from ADZ/ADF/DMS to HFE, support XVS library - now GoADF! detect bootblock viruses while loading the image, and will check all sectors on demand, optimizing procedures for loading and analyzing images, when write disk to ADF, GoADF! uses the name of the source volume that is mounted as default filename and checks if the file extension is present, if not it automatically append.

A horizontal SHMUP for the line of classic Commodore Amiga computers, Inviyya will feature 6 levels, couple of special weapons, 3 layer parallax scrolling and nice music and sfx.

03.02.2020 - New roguelike C64 game 'Fallen' just released
Fallen is a coffee-break roguelike developed for the venerable Commodore 64 using the system's Basic v2 programming language, a little love letter from the author to a system that shined before he was born. This manual serves as both a guide to playing the game as well as means of distributing the game, as it contains the source code. The game itself is free and open source available under the MIT license.

03.02.2020 - New C64 game 'Fire!' available for free download
'Fire!' is a 'Game & Watch' style port: The building is on fire and people are jumping off the balconies! Move the firemen and their trampoline under the falling people and bounce them into the ambulance. The speed and number of jumpers at any one time increases as the game progresses.

'Crackpots' is the fourth in the Activision unconverted series from the Atari VCS 2600 system. Coding by Tony Savona and audio by Saul Cross. The game can be downloaded for free.

A small update about the ThED project - MOS TED replacement: Willy is currently working on integrating the analog part. It is pretty much ready but there are few minor caveats left that we want to sort out. Once that part is done, we will be able to make fully working prototypes.

29.01.2020 - New C64 Hardware 'GenAssister' available for pre-order in Backbit Store
The 'GenAssister' is an evolution of the 'TwoBit' (a joystick doubler for the C64/128) and in enhancement of the latter, operable with a Sega Genesis controller (original OR RetroBit reproduction) and able to interface with buttons on both controller ports individually without having to flip a switch.
