21.10.2020 - 'Planet X2.1' for C64 - Look at what Protovision has been working on!
If you think the Commodore 64 cannot handle real-time strategy games, think again. When The 8-Bit Guy presented Planet X2 in 2017, it was the first game of its kind for the C64 and it sold more copies than any other C64 game in that year, even though also Sam's Journey was released in the same year (well, END of the same year)! Planet X2.1 is a collaboration product between Protovision and The 8-Bit Guy: our development team has taken up Planet X2 and brought it to the next level, with in-game music and sound effects, improved graphics and an achievement system, amongst other things.

20.10.2020 - C64 game 'Top-hole Golf' V1.4 released
'Top-hole Golf' is a 3D golf game for the Commodore 64. Written in 6502 assembly by Matthew Clarke. As the author states, it still has bugs and glitches; there's only one course; and the game freezes when you finish the round. But you can play a full eighteen holes now and most of the features work. There's half of a manual here.

14.10.2020 - Daffy Duck (Amiga + Spectrum intro) + glimpse of Bugs Bunny (Amiga) - video by Games That Weren't' (GTW)
Previously unseen footage of the Commodore Amiga edition of Hi-Tec Software's unreleased Daffy Duck, including bonus footage of the also unreleased Bugs Bunny for the same platform. There is also a brief glimpse of the ZX Spectrum introduction sequence, featuring music by Mark Cooksey. This has been added as bonus content for the Games That Weren't book at www.gtwbook.co.uk, which includes a full and detailed piece on Daffy Duck and the various formats the game was due out for.

13.10.2020 - Tetris clone 'Teserae' for Amiga available on itch.io
'Teserae' was first created on the Atari ST by The Albanian Sausage Corporation - a sort of game and a demo with great music and whizzy scrolling backgrounds. This Amiga version was already made in the early 1990's to help learn some of the machines features. It's created for the Amiga 500 but also runs on the 600 and 1200 and is free for download.
