20.05.2021 - 'Pieces II' (C64) - The Story continues!
Great news for fans of tile matching style games like Puzznic! Pawel Krol has started working on Pieces II again and is looking to drive development through to completion. Pawel will be looking to the C64 community to help with puzzle designs via a competition that will be run soon. With this new injection of motivation behind the project, we are confident to have more news on the game (and the competition) soon. Stay tuned!

19.05.2021 - 'SpritePad Pro' V2.90 released
SpritePad is a graphics data editing tool that facilitates the production of graphics data in a format compatible with the legendary Commodore 64 home computer. The program allows you to design sprite sets, tiles, fonts and animations for 2D video games and demos. SpritePad Pro is an evolution of the original SpritePad tool that contains some useful additional features. New for the 2.90 version: - VIC-II Sprite 'expansion' is now possible in tiles. - Tiles can be named and assigned 'tag' values.

19.05.2021 - 'Revenge of the Mutant Camels' for C64 got updated more than 36 years after it's original release
'Revenge of the Mutant Camels' was already released on Commodore C64 and PC DOS in 1984. It's possibly one of the most memorable Llamasoft games, with giant a camel blasting through waves of somewhat surreal enemies. Now it got an update by no one else than 'Yak' himself! He fixed collision detection on the C64 version and announced that he may work on it some more. You will find the (updated) game free for download on his website...

18.05.2021 - 'Spred64' - C64 Sprite Editor - V1.372 Beta released
'Spred64' is a Commodore C64 Sprite editor, compositor and animator for Windows, that you can get for little money. New in V1.3.7: - Added the ability to add Address labels by pressing F4. These will also show up in the save file which is handy for C64 studio. Other small fixes. Fixed composite re-referencing when swapping sprites around. (Fixed long loading issue, also issue with x/y stretch not loading, fixed issue with right click on sprites area causing error.).

15.05.2021 - Scorpion Engine 2021.5 - the Parallax Update
There is an update for the Game Construction Erik 'earok' Hogan's 'Scorpion Engine', which is supposed to enable the development of games that run on an A500 with a screen refresh of 50 Hz. The editor itself runs under Windows. Graphics are imported as PNG files, the Tiled editor is used to create levels. Amiga formats (mod, 8svx, anim5) are used for sounds, music and animations. Scorpion Engine 2021.5, along with all of the demos can be downloaded from the official repository.

15.05.2021 - new VIC-20 hgame 'VIC Advenger' for download
VIC Advenger was made in one day for a GAME JAM to promote VIC 20 awareness. It is a homage to Adventureland by Scott Adams and Space Invaders by Tomohiro Nishikado. The game should be a very short experience (under 5 minutes). This game is a KEYBOARD controlled text adventure made entirely in BASIC for the unexpanded VIC 20. I recommend using a real Vic 20 or VICE emulator in NTSC mode (open the prg file in xvic.exe program).
