'Kung Fu Flash' is a cartridge for the Commodore 64 by Kim Jorgensen that packs a punch. It can emulate different cartridge types, load PRG files and use D64 disk images. Just place your desired CRT, PRG or D64 files on a FAT formatted microSD card and use the built-in launcher to execute them. New in this update: - Support D64 with JiffyDOS kernal. - Support PRG and D64 on C64GS. - Support large PRGs from OneLoad64 Games Collection v1.0

26.12.2020 - VIC-20 game 'Cheesy Trials' released
'Cheesy Trials' is a tiny platform game for the VIC-20 (+16k RAM expansion), that was made for TheC64 Winter Game Development competition. You are Echo the Mouse, a cloned mouse tormented by a mad scientist to complete three experiments. Each experiment is made up of a number of rooms. You are dropped into a room with some cheese. Collect all the cheese and get to the exit before the time is up. But all is not as it seems. Your world will change with each piece of cheese collected. Each room is devilishly designed to test your intelligence, dexterity and luck.

Wow, what a result! The Protopad Crowd Funding campaign has now ended and it was possible to raise in excess of 15,000 Euros. This means that not only are we getting a multi-button controller and a re-configured version of Sam’s Journey but we are now also going to produce new paddles for the C64!

25.12.2020 - Unreleased C64 game 'Trooper' preserved and released on GTW64
Many of you will have played the wonderful Barbarian 2 by Rob Stevens, and maybe even read the excellent feature with him in FREEZE64 about the game.
Whilst talking to Rob, Vinny Mainolfi of FREEZE64 discovered that Rob was sitting on a complete game that never saw the light of day called Trooper. This was Rob’s first proper C64 development when he was around 17/18 years old and likely what he showed to Palace to get his position at the company and the gig on Barbarian 2. Rob kindly dug out a copy of the game and sent to Vinny to try and get up and running again and preserve.

25.12.2020 - C64 game 'Zzapped in the Butt - Deluxe' released
Another title by 'The New Dimension'. This is the final full version of what was originally a 4KB game creation. Due to the limitations of 4K, various in game elements were missing. So now a special deluxe edition of the game is finished and consists of the following. This game is also available as digital version, free for download.

Alf Yngve blasts back onto the C64 with another fantastic compilation of action-packed shoot 'em ups! Jump into your trusty Zap Fighter and blast your way through THREE exciting games packed with zapping action, power-ups and plenty of air and ground-based targets to obliterate! Richard Bayliss has also contributed to this release by adding specially coded front-ends to each game, in-game enhancements and has supplied thumping soundtracks as well!

In recognition of the 40th anniversary of VIC20 in 1980, 'Cout Games' had a mission to port/translate twenty type-in games from the VIC20 to the C64. However, during the lockdown period and this "human malware" problem, as we all had more time at home, and somehow he got a bit carried away... and made a few more than what I ever imagined... The VIC20 to C64 enhanced collection consists of 76 games and only has 1 block free left on the D64 file, so part 2 which *enhances* the VIC20 games to the full-screen of the C64 is released as additional disk here.

23.12.2020 - Video shows footage of WIP Amiga game 'Streets of Rage'
The developer calls it a small lockdown project that he was working on in the summer of 2020. Originally it was just going to be a small straight conversion demo of Streets of Rage 1, but he started to tweak the sprites add new moves and ideas, plus assets from Streets of Rage 2, so in reality it's more like a Streets of Rage 1.5. This video now shows a small update of this demo. Some music in Protracker were done, which is a version of the Megadrive's Streets of Rage Level 1 music (3 Channels only with 1 free for sound effects). Also added is a small colour cycle effect to the background for the neon, and two of the palette colours have been brightened ever so slightly.
