'Caim' by Haplo (maker of Tenebra) is a top-down action-adventure game for the C64, available as digital download for a bargain (name your own price). It balances action, exploration and puzzles with an emphasis on the narrative. You, an unnamed player, wake up in a strange place without any recollection of how you got there. Explore the facility, avoid deadly hazards and uncover mysteries. 'The 8-Bit Guy' has been looking to make another game for the Commander X16 and unlike PETSCII Robots he wanted to make something that has a quick and easy learning curve. He ended up with choosing 'Xixit' from 1995, a DOS clone of 'Columns'. In this video he talks about the development for his X16 port of it.

23.01.2023 - Amiga AGA game 'Agonman' released
Agonman is a small game inspired by a static image of Edwin Van del Heuvel (with his permission) with some modified gfx from the game Agony, except for the Owl and as a tribute to Agony/Psygnosis. It all started as an experiment, using the Zener REDPILL game maker and created in 16 colours for Amiga AGA. Two versions are offered as digital download for little money (name your own price). One for emulator, another for real Amiga AGA, in HD or WHDLoad.

21.01.2023 - 'MIDISID' - MIDI in, 2 SIDs, Audio out
MIDISID from the British company Peacockmedia is a compact desktop synth that revives the sound of the C64 in a modern studio environment. MIDISID works with 2 sidchips (Nano SwinSIDs are built in, but the originals can also be used) and can play MIDI files or be controlled via MIDI. The device is available in black or pink and costs 180 EUR.

20.01.2023 - C64 game 'Castle Shadowgate' released and free for download
Shadowgate is a point and click adventure game developed by ICOM Simulations for the Apple Macintosh. It was ported to many platforms, but an official version was never released for the Commodore 64 (however, there is some evidence that it was worked on in a Mat Barton interview on YouTube. And two of ICOM's other "MacVenture" games were released for the C64). Anyway, here we now have a port of the game, heavily based on the popular Nintendo Entertainment System version. The game supports mouse and there are versions for PAL and NTSC.
