23.12.2025 - 'Amiga Sonic' - Tech Demo released
RetroRic had the idea of trying to bring Sonic to the Amiga, but with news of Reassembler's new Sonic project, he realized that there wasn't much point in keeping this project alive. He couldn't quite let it die though and really wanted to see what was possible with the Scorpion Engine, so he decided just to make a tech demo out of curiosity. Then the project ballooned to an almost complete level 1 of Mega Drive Sonic the Hedgehog, in both 32 colour and 16 colour versions, which you can get the game as digital download for little money (name your own price) to support the developer. 23.12.2025 - Amiga game 'Dasher' released - free for download
'Dasher' is a short four level Christmas game by Camden Town Games, where the genre is in its title. The aim is to avoid the trees and other reindeer whilst collecting the presents. The game ends after level 4 and it should work with Amiga 1200 and Amiga 500.

23.12.2025 - Quarx Part 2 - C64 and PET versions - video by 'The 8-Bit Guy'

And then he promised to do an update on the PET and C64 versions. And so that's what we're going to look at today, along with some interesting challenges getting a VIC-20 cartridge made, and trying the game out on the new Commodore 64 Ultimate.

GTW64 ends the year with a nice set of new releases and recoveries. Invanoid is an experimental retro game for Amiga 1200 that combines classic Space Invaders and Breakout mechanics into one intense arcade battle. The player controls a paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting projectiles and destroying ranks of enemies who are constantly descending. You can get the game as digital download for a bargain to support the developer.

20.12.2025 - Amiga game 'Attack of the Killer Asteroids' - demo version released as free download
Attack of the Killer Asteroids is a SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis homebrew game demo that takes inspiration from the arcade game Pang and adds some 1950s America B movie style to the graphics. This Amiga version has been created using the Scorpion Engine by earok and building on the demo provided by that Engine.

19.12.2025 - Amiga game 'Santa's Present Drop 5' released
'Santa's Present Drop 5' is a LightGun game for Amiga by Rob Smith. Poor Santa, at the end of part 4 last year, Santa managed to rescue his Elfs(TM) from the Grunch(TM), but on return to the north pole found his work shop overrun with zombie rabbits! 17.12.2025 - Amiga game 'Memory Schmemory' released - free for download
'Memory Schmemory' is a traditional Memory game for Amiga but with option for more players. The game was made using Blitz Basic (AmiBlitz3) as an entry to Phaze101's Memory Game Jam. Full source code is also available for download. Requires AGA (because of all the different game sprites with their own unique palette).

17.12.2025 - 'Carcer' - game for C64 and Plus/4 released
'Carcer' is a puzzle game by Haplo (maker of 'Shift', 'Tenebra', ''Ooze: The Escape' and 'Caim'), where your goal is to escape the dungeons, but there's a catch... each step you take, you need to drop a coin behind you. You can't move with zero coins but you can always go back and pick up the coins you have dropped. You can get the game, which is also available for 8-bit Ataris, as digital download for little money (name your own price) to support the developer.

'Cat and Mouse' is a maze game with similarities to Pac-Man for Amiga (OCS/ECS). The player controls a blue mouse and the aim is to collect all the cheese to move onto the next level whilst avoiding the 4 patrolling cats. You can get a 3 level demo of the game in it's current state as free digital download.
