01.05.2026 - Microtonal SID Music? Angine de Poitrine Bassline in C64 BASIC - video by '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Angine de Poitrine's microtonal math rock has taken Youtube by storm. Some SID covers of their music prompted the question: can the SID actually play microtonal music? Some say "no", but we'll prove them wrong by recreating the bassline from AdP's song "Sarniezz" in humble Commodore 64 BASIC. We'll learn some music theory along the way, such as what A440 and "standard tuning" mean, along with "equal temperament", 24TET, along with some C64 theory such as the differences between PAL and NTSC when it comes to SID tuning, and a lot more.

Another busy month for the Commodore 64 archive, with a large number of updates (21 to be precise!) and a few bits of preservation, which were presented seperately: The search for lost Startech software, Tora Tora Tora C64 game and long lost video titles utility by Gary J Foreman recovered.

30.04.2026 - Amiga game 'Mundialito 2' - demo version released
Mundialito, a football game for Amiga, is back with new gameplay, frenetic action, and 32 teams competing for the coveted cup. There are two modes, classic and arcade, where bonuses are scattered across the pitch to increase your chances or thwart you, in a decidedly retro style. The game is for Amiga 1200 with 2 MB of RAM still. It is in development and you can get the game in its current state as digital download for a fair price (name your own price) to support the developer.

29.04.2026 - 'SwordWork' - game for Plus/4 and C64 released - free for download
SwordWork is much more an action game than puzzle game. The more swords you collect, the stronger your fighter will hit the baddies who want to prevent him from conquering all the treasures on the screen. Skewer them in a single thrust to get more points! Magic potions occasionally appear, in order to gain extra lives. SwordWork is the 22nd game by Japanese developer Inufuto and as always, there are several version for different computer systems.
