08.05.2026 - VIC-20 game 'Mr.Lee' released - free for download
Mr. Lee is a tribute to the well known martial arts platformer 'Bruce Lee' by Datasoft, one of the most popular 8-bit games of the early 1980s. The developer of 'Mr.Lee' tried to recreate the gameplay of the orignial as faithfully as possible on a VIC-20. It’s intentionally designed to be a bit more difficult to provide a challenging gaming experience, but it’s definitely beatable. It runs on a standard VIC-20, no memory expansion is required.

06.05.2026 - Plus/4 game 'Mega Chase' released - free for download
'Mega Chase' is a persecution game in which player one has to "catch" the other with his laser, while player 2 has to try to escape. It's much more fun in two player mode, although single player modes are also provided. To make things harder and more interesting, there is a time limit and the number of shots is limited. The spaceship has 5 "warps" to teleport to another random point of the screen, but always at least at a certain minimum distance from the crosshair.

For this years Revision 2026 Rob entered something a little odd into the Wild category. He essentially built a sound card connected to the floppy drive port, which has some interesting advantages over things like the parallel port. Aside from that, this was just for fun, there's no plan to make this into an actual product.

01.05.2026 - Microtonal SID Music? Angine de Poitrine Bassline in C64 BASIC - video by '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Angine de Poitrine's microtonal math rock has taken Youtube by storm. Some SID covers of their music prompted the question: can the SID actually play microtonal music? Some say "no", but we'll prove them wrong by recreating the bassline from AdP's song "Sarniezz" in humble Commodore 64 BASIC. We'll learn some music theory along the way, such as what A440 and "standard tuning" mean, along with "equal temperament", 24TET, along with some C64 theory such as the differences between PAL and NTSC when it comes to SID tuning, and a lot more.

Mundialito, a football game for Amiga, is back with new gameplay, frenetic action, and 32 teams competing for the coveted cup. There are two modes, classic and arcade, where bonuses are scattered across the pitch to increase your chances or thwart you, in a decidedly retro style. The game is for Amiga 1200 with 2 MB of RAM still.
