27.05.2025 - 'Games That Weren't 64' (GTW64) - GTW64 May 2025 update
The fifth update of the year has a number of new entries added, including a game that was once submitted to Zzap and just disappeared, beginnings of a Pacman game that never was intended for Mastertronic, and Elite’s strange Commando-themed game that would eventually be renamed to Duet. GTW64 has also some updates to existing entries (details of each update in the history notes).

Gemdalus is an immediately accessible arcade game which challenges the player to pick up all the gems scattered about procedurally-generated mazes. Gemdalus has been written in AMOS Professional 2.00 and M68k assembly and requires Amiga computer with AGA chipset, 1.6 MB of CHIP RAM, 320 kB of other RAM. You can get the game as digital download for a fair price and support the developer.

Robin discovers a new (in 2023) book titled "Beginner's Guide to Coding With Commodore 64" and then discovers 4 more 2023 books about C64 programming and buys them all and it isn't at all suspicious. After a close examination it is determined that these are actually pirated and AI-generated scam books being sold through Amazon. The original source book, Richard Stals' "Beginner's Step-By-Step THEC64 Computer Coding Course" is then examined and Robin tries to get some of his money back.

Space Fight! is a 2v2 4 player game for the Commodore 64 using the Protovision adapter. It also supports 3 players with the SNES Adapter in a 2v1 game. The purpose of Space Fight! is to achieve a higher score than the opposing team. You can do this directly by shooting players or you can shoot asteroids and change their trajectory into the enemy team causing them to lose points for collision deaths. You can get it as digital download for little money (name your own price) to support the developer.
