...freshly fished out of the net...30.09.2020 - Get some C64 game prototypes for download and testing
A random selection of some C64 prototypes Carleton Handley has made in the past. 1. RunNGun - this is the most promising of the 3 games. Should be a kind of Metroidvania but other projects have meant this is in limbo. 2. Wheelie - this is originally a Spectrum game which never saw a C64 release back in the 80s. A bit of reverse engineering on the Speccy ROM was made and a with the level generation and a scroll came up. 3. Behemoth - coded around 1990 and it was the last thing Carleton coded as a professional C64 developer. As you can see it's a bit rough and the graphics are meh but something nice could probably have come from it with another month's work.

30.09.2020 - WIP of 'Another World' port for C64 gets another preview video
After we have seen a preview of the intro sequences, we now get a preview of the gameplay. There is a lot of things to fix with the graphics engine (color clashes, colors, palettes, blend mode, masking...etc) but a C64 virtual machine seems to run Eric Chahi's original Another World byte code very well !!! (no hardware sprites used).

30.09.2020 - Video: Abandoned Chip Fab: Bil Herd's MOS Technologies Factory Walk-Through 35 Years Later
Commodore 64 changed the world, and the 6502 processor even more so. Both were produced by MOS Technologies at their headquarters in Norristown, Pennsylvania. That was 35 years ago, and the siren song of visiting is hold stomping ground was too much for Bil Herd to pass up. With permission of the current property owner, he recorded this video tour of the long vacant property. The video begins with a walk through of the engineering offices of the company, but things get really interesting about two-thirds of the way through as they make their way to the basement where the chip fab was located. It's strewn with smashed equipment of the gilded-age of 8-bit computing

28.09.2020 - Arcade game 'Magica' for Amiga announced
'Magica' is an arcade game and was originally released on Amstrad. Now it's announced to be released on Amiga soon. You play the Sorceress in a mission to recover all the potions stolen from her laboratory. This doesn’t happen very often, but when it does happen, it is really annoying!
