09.03.2022 - Simple Commodore 64 Disk Protection: Copy that Floppy, Remove Anti-Piracy Measures - new Video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
The "I Am The C-64" tutorial programs for the Commodore 64 have anti-piracy disk copy protection, despite being written in BASIC, and it's enough to thwart simple "fast" disk copiers. We go through the steps of making a copy of the disk on a real 1541 and KAO 5.25" floppy disk with the help of Maverick's disk nybbler, and then go a step further and "de-protect" the program so a nybbler is no longer necessary.

Story: The last humans have fled earth and live now in a big generation space ship. It is a big ship on a long journey, so eventually some components fail that the robot mechanics can't fix. Now it is your turn, cadet Samuel Fox, to solve the problems and to talk to the inhabitants of the ship which are... a rather unusal combination of people.
