'NeonWorld' is a WIP Shoot-em-up for Amiga 500 that is currently in open development on GitHub. A downloadable demo version as .adf is also available.

21.12.2023 - This Function Destroys Programs: MS-BASIC's VAL() - video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
There's a bug lurking in the VAL() function of most early implementations of Microsoft BASIC that has the power to corrupt your program. We demonstrate it on the Commodore 64 and VIC-20, but it's present on many other 6502-based machines, as well as Z80 and even 6809 computers as discovered by many helpful people on the internets. We then attempt to explain why the bug happens: it's the result of a kind of nasty hack using Microsoft BASIC's evaluation routine combined with the particular edge case when an overflow error occurs.

Protovison added two new cartridge games from Bobr Games to our Shop. Lester is a fantastic metroidvania style of game with bright console style graphics that make it one of the stronger 2023 releases. Inbread is the latest title from Kark Hörnell, a very well presented time management style of game that sees prepare sandwiches for customers.

20.12.2023 - VIC-20 game 'Liquidator' released - free for download
'Liquidator' is for Commodore VIC-20 without Memory Expansion (tested only on XVIC). The aim of the game is to prevent a meltdown in a nuclear reactor by sealing the leak (red fields) in the reactor with concrete blocks. As the liquidator, you have to master this almost impossible task to prevent the catastrophe. There are a total of 10 levels (reactor leaks) for 1 to 2 players.
