28.05.2021 - New C64 game 'Gyro Run' free for download
'Gyro Run' is an original fun hi score party game written for the 'CSDB C64 Fun Compo 2021' and is free for download. Do you remember the classic seaside, fairground arcade machines where you insert a coin into the slot, and control a remote-controlled water boat, bumper car or something like that around the track? The New Dimension has gone one step further is very proud to present a pretty original hi score attack party game called Gyro Run. A silly game in which you control a moving spinner around the arena attempting to score as many points as you can.

Komoda & Amiga Plus, or K & A+ for short, is a paper magazine dedicated to Commodore's range of home computer systems produced between 1977 and 1994. 82 pages of thick, glossy paper in full color devoted to all things Commodore. The MIST board was designed to implement classic 16 bit computers like the Amiga and Atari ST(E) as System-on-a-Chip using modern hardware. But it equally well supports 8 bit systems like the Atari XL, ZX81, ZX Spectrum, C64, Atari VCS, Atari 5200, Colecovision, Apple II, Sega Master System, NES, Odyssey2 and more. Hibernated 1 - This Place is Death (Director's Cut) is an Infocom style interactive fiction game. It's a complete rewrite of the classic, award-winning Hibernated game using Infocom's Z-machine standard, with tons of additional narrative content and riddles. If Infocom had been asked to recreate the classic Hibernated, the Director's Cut would have been the outcome. For C64, C128, Amiga, Mega65, VIC-20, Plus/4, PET and many more retro systems. 25.05.2021 - 'Sidelsa' for VIC-20 and C16 released
This is an arcade game for Commodore's 8-bit entry level computers, the VIC 20 and the C16. It is intended to feel like the first level of a spanish arcade game called Draco, made in 1981 by the company Cidelsa. The VIC-20 version requires a 16 KB RAM expansion. It runs in both PAL and NTSC systems. You can get the game at itch.io as digital download for a bargain.

23.05.2021 - GTW64 reports: New final release of 'Worron' (C64)
A lovely surprise today, where author of the unreleased Firebird game Worron, Richard Paynter got in touch to provide 'Games that weren't' (GTW) with an upgraded and fixed version of his 34 year old game. After GTW recovered Richard’s work in 2015, it was found that the game wasn’t quite finished in places and there were a number of issues which made it impossible to complete without cheats enabled. It was something that bothered Richard for a few years, so this year he decided to decompile and fix it all...

21.05.2021 - 'Metal Gear' - Amiga 500 port released and free for download!
Originally released in 1987 for the MSX2, Metal Gear became an instant classic. Designed by the legendary Hideo Kojima, it spawned a huge franchise in stealth gameplay and is considered one of the top games from the platform. While there are ports for the NES, Spectrum and C64 they were missing a lot of the key details from the original game. An Amiga version was once advertised in a magazine but sadly was consigned to myth and legend. That is until now. Based on a full and commented disassembly by Manuel Pazos of the original MSX2 game cartridge, this Amiga port has been built to ensure as near a perfect conversion as possible. Gameplay elements remain intact while additional features have been layered on-top to ensure the fullest experience possible of Metal Gear on the Amiga.

20.05.2021 - 'Pieces II' (C64) - The Story continues!
Great news for fans of tile matching style games like Puzznic! Pawel Krol has started working on Pieces II again and is looking to drive development through to completion. Pawel will be looking to the C64 community to help with puzzle designs via a competition that will be run soon. With this new injection of motivation behind the project, we are confident to have more news on the game (and the competition) soon. Stay tuned!

SpritePad is a graphics data editing tool that facilitates the production of graphics data in a format compatible with the legendary Commodore 64 home computer. The program allows you to design sprite sets, tiles, fonts and animations for 2D video games and demos. SpritePad Pro is an evolution of the original SpritePad tool that contains some useful additional features. New for the 2.90 version: - VIC-II Sprite 'expansion' is now possible in tiles. - Tiles can be named and assigned 'tag' values.
