Commodore News - cascade64.de - external linkFollix is a puzzle game heavily inspired by Atomix, a game from 1990 where the player had to build chemical molecules by connecting correctly the atoms they were made of. Using similar mechanics, in each of its 30 levels, Follix challenges the player to build a piece of a message by sliding in the correct places the tiles that contain the relevant text characters. Get it as digital download for a bargain (name your own price).

Commodore News - cascade64.de - external linkIn this video we see the developer trying one of the different builds of CMOhn he made to cater for different setups. The priority of this one is get it to run at a stable FPS (in this case 25) on Amigas with 2MB chip and no fast RAM. It's in the early stages and has a lot of graphical issues, but will eventually look nice. Besides, a fun new feature demonstrated in the video.

Commodore News - cascade64.de - external linkHVSC #1 was released today 25 years ago, on 12 July 1996. This is the 75th update and we made it happen on the same day. We have witnessed this collection grow exponentially in the years, from only 4,000 sids in the first release, now counts more than 54,000: practically 2,000 new sids were added each year! Many people joined the C64 scene providing new tunes - sometimes wonderful, sometimes strange, all special and creative on their own - and, sadly, we also lost some people, who left us their inheritance before parting. This release is dedicated to the memory of whose are not anymore with us, you'll be remembered.

Commodore News - cascade64.de - external linkIn 'Arcade Rock Invaders' by Mark Ainsworth you have space ship, that is traveling through the void collecting metal ore, but your in a asteroid belt, so to get the ore you may have to destroy asteroids. you can side swipe asteroids or ore to destroy them but you wont score this way, you have to hit the ore head on, but if you hit an asteroid head on you will be destroyed.

Commodore News - cascade64.de - external link'TAZ', another Atari 2600 port by Arlasoft, was written in just over a day on the weekend of 10th July 2021. Arlasoft made a few changes to the difficulty curve to make for a more interesting game - the original could take a while to get going. TAZ is an eating contest composed of three unbalanced meals. Each meal consists of eight courses.
