06.10.2021 - 'Robocop' port for Amiga (AGA) in work
There is a video showing progress update of an Amiga AGA implementation of the Robocop arcade game. The current engine is runs in 64 colours, utilizing 64 pixel wide sprites for the background parallax on level 1, and a 4x fetch mode. Graphics were converted from the arcade originals, and reduced down into various banks of 16 colours; Robocop is 16 colours and the background is (presumably) right now is 32 colours.

02.10.2021 - New C64 game 'Straight Up' released
This little platformer was made by 'Dr. Wuro Industries', who already brought us Shadow Switcher, Frogs and Shotgun. It was released on DoReCo Party 2021 and is available as free digital download.

02.10.2021 - C64 game 'Space Panic' V1.1 released
'Space Panic' is a C64 conversion of a game with same name for Colecovision and was made for the 'CSDB C64 Fun Compo 2021'. Your goal is to dig up holes, trap the aliens in them, and bury them for good! V1.1 contains bugfixes: - Two-player mode player swapping now works correctly. The game is available as free digital download.

The 21st century realization of the Commodore 65 heritage: a complete 8-bit computer running more than 40x faster than a C64 while being increasingly compatible. Mechanical keyboard, digital video output, dual SDHC card support, Ethernet, extended memory and other features increase the fun without spoiling the 8-bit feel. Hardware designs and software are open-source. The first 400 units have been sold. Reservations/pre-orders for the next batch (1000 units, delivery 2022) can still be made. Each purchaser will receive an order confirmation after placing the order.

29.09.2021 - Armsid - Finally, a good C64 SID replacement! - new video from 'Adrian's Digital Basement'
The SID chip on the C64 is a pretty great synthesizer chip. Unfortunately, due to the was MOS made the chips, they fail quite frequently. In the past, Adrian had tried the SwinSID replacement SID, but it leaves a lot to be desired about how closely it replicates the SID. Bring on the ARMSID - which seems to be produce a sound much closer to the real thing.

29.09.2021 - Programming in FORTH on Commodore 64 - new Video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Today we explore with Robin 64 Forth for the Commodore 64 with the help of his friend Paul Pridham, aka Madgarden, who uses his own version of Forth to code his hit indie videogames such as Death Road To Canada. Prompted by David Youd, who donated the cartridge and books to Robin, we try a few Forth variations of the famous 10 PRINT program, starting with one-line versions while working towards a more Forth-like final version.

28.09.2021 - Rare (?) Commodore breadbin keyboard curiosity - new video from 'Adrian's Digital Basement'
Adrian has worked on a ton of C64s recently -- and one of his C64 breadbin machines has a very strange keyboard that is unlike any other Commodore 8-bit keyboard I've ever seen. He'd love to know if this is more common than he think it is, but searching on the internet didn't immediately reveal other people having this keyboard.
