02.08.2022 - C64 game 'Party Speedway' released as free download
Party Speedway is one button fun game, currently featuring up to 4-player racing on a single speedway track over a cga joy adapter. It is planed to release an expanded version with more tracks varying in speed and turning angles, ai opponents, league, tournament and some fancy pvp modes in the near future.

01.08.2022 - C64 game 'Jungle Joe' released
Jungle Joe is a Commodore 64 puzzle-adventure game. Your objective is very simple, build your path to the level exit by using ladder pieces. On your way, there are many puzzling choices to make. Avoid enemies and other hazards. One level is divided into three checkpoints. There is a password system to load already played levels. The game is tested on real hardware, TheC64, and VICE emulator and will run in PAL and NTSC modes, but it's not optimized for NTSC. You can get Jungle Joe as digital download for a bargain.

01.08.2022 - C64 game 'Little Nippers Deluxe' released as free download
This is a deluxe edition of the single button game Little Nippers, which is bigger than the 4K version. Features: - Loading bitmap. - Colourful front end presentation. - Hi score table. - Nice summery tunes. - 5 different seaside locations, based on skill level. - Bonus incentives (Higher skill level, less crabs - more points). - Compatible with theC64 mini , theC64, theVIC20 (in c64 mode) full size computer. - Compatible with both PAL and NTSC, although best played on PAL.

31.07.2022 - New-Found 1982-1983 Easter Eggs: Commodore 64 and MAX by Andy Finkel - new Video from '8-Bit Show And Tell'
Join Robin as we look through more of 1980s Commodore programmer Andy Finkel's games, this time on the Commodore MAX and Commodore 64, in a search for easter eggs, some of which have never been documented. Commodore policy prevented programmers from claiming authorship, so programmers found ways to hide their names within the programs.

30.07.2022 - VIC-II Kawari Update #7 - Some 'Mini' PCBs available for sale on eBay
This is Randy Rossi's final update on this project. He has eBay listings for a batch of 'Mini' PCBs (No HDMI/RGB) as well as a handful of the 'Large' model (with HDMI/RGB). It's been a challenging project. He can repeat the 'Mini' orders and can also easily produce the 'POV' models but the 'Large' boards are going to take some more time since the Spartan6 is not available anymore.

27.07.2022 - 'Games That Weren't 64' (GTW64) July 2022 update
A bit more up to speed this month, with 5 more new entries (BrainBreak, Blockie, Dynacomp catalog titles, Megváltó, Operation Neptune), including a large catalogue listing to try and find a bunch of software that may not yet be preserved and a homebrew title that hasn’t seen the light of day since 1991. Then a nice 16 updates to existing archive titles with some tidy ups and new information in places.

25.07.2022 - 'Impossible Mission' port for Plus/4 released
Rub your eyes and do a double-take: this time it's real, the legendary C64 game Impossible Mission - written by Dennis Caswell and published by Epyx in 1984 - is now available for your Commodore Plus/4 as free digital download.. The game features a variety of gameplay mechanics from platform and adventure games, and includes digitized speech and is widely considered one of the best games for several platforms.

25.07.2022 - WIP Amiga game 'NinjFeratu' - demo available
'NinjFeratu' is Jump-’n’-run, arcade platformer in the style of Shinobi, developed using AmiGen Engine V1.0 Beta. Requirements are: Amiga with 1MB chip ram (Amiga 1200 is recomended but is not mandatory). The game will be released for free, but for now a demo version is available for early access via Patreon until the game development is complete.

This time the 8-Bit Guy is restoring a rare version of an old VIC-20 with a keyboard that has PET-style keys, which was given to him as donation.

Mission La Luna is a game in the style of the arcade 'Operation Wolf' and is available as digital download for a bargain. Story: In a parallel world, 2 countries are fighting for control of the resources on the moon, you are a member of the USA team and your base has been attacked by forces of the Soviet Union and you try to recover your base and then advance to the enemy base , you will have to fight hard to reach the enemy base. Characteristic: - A game made in AMOS, with love for all the friends of the "Amiga". - Use the mouse to aim and shoot, also shoot at ammunition and energy refills. - 3 lives that will be lost if the energy is spent. - 4 Levels with unique music and a Boss. - Statistics of your performance, and the 10 best.

24.07.2022 - C64 game 'The Curse of Rabenstein' - Point and Click Edition is out!
Developer Stefan Vogt is finally able to present you the anticipated 40th Anniversary (Point and Click) Edition of Rabenstein for C64. It can be played with mouse or joystick and thus differs significantly from the parser driven original game. Featuring wonderful SID tunes by René aka Peacemaker, it's a great homage honoring the heritage of the Commodore 64 that turns 40 this year. Development of this version was done by Sönke Wolfgramm. He also translated the content to German, so that you are free to choose which language you prefer. You can get the game as digital download for a bargain, or get the Collector's edition (a lovingly made physical edition on diskette and sd-card), which is available for pre-order at poly.play.
