This is a booklet about the tape recorders used or produced by Commodore for its 8-bit computers, from the first one in the PET 2001 case to the model 1530 that many of us used to load games on the Commodore 64. You can get the .pdf version for free as a limited time offer.

31.03.2020 - New Video from '8-Bit Show And Tell' - 10 PRINT RACER: My New PET Game
Robin from '8-Bit Show And Tell' wrote a little game for the Commodore PET. It's a free download, so you can play it too, and walk through the code with him during the video.

30.03.2020 - Firmware update for 'Ultimate 64' and 'Ultimate 64' Elite available
Version 1.28 contains besides several bug-fixes the following new features: Debug stream over Ethernet, which logs CPU / VIC access real time, also possible to log C64 CPU and 1541 CPU alongside. U64 only. - ACIA (MOS 6551) emulation - Modem Layer emulation (6551 <-> LAN), supporting both outbound and inbound connections - REU load / save commands from UCI, using the preload settings - File append mode for Software IEC. - Support for SuperGames cartridge

29.03.2020 - New firmware for 'ARM2SiD / ARMSID' available
ARM2SiD v3.8 / ARMSID v2.10 firmware fixes a bug from older versions in the values generation of the register OSC3 during a noise waveform. ARMSID/ARM2SiD are replacement devices of the MOS6581 and MOS8580 used in the Commodore C64 - minimalistic in simplicity of circuit and use, not in function and power.

28.03.2020 - Update of C64 game 'DKJ Game & Watch' released
'DKJ Game & Watch' is a C64 port of the Game & Watch version of Donkey Kong Junior. The now released update brings the C64 version up to the same level as the Plus/4/VIC 20/Pet versions, with a high-score counter, title screen and correctly awarding a point for jumping from a vine over an approaching snapper.

28.03.2020 - Lotek64 issue #60 released
A new edition of the German .pdf magazine Lotek64 is available for download. 'City Bomber 4k', developed by Megastyle, is a single button game for the Commodore 64. The game is based on the good old Blitz game that some of you might remember from the VIC20. The game is available as free download.

REV'n'GE (Retro Emulator Vision and Game) is an Italian and English-language PDF magazine, not only for Commodore fans, that mainly focus on game reviews.

25.03.2020 - New video footage of WIP C64 game 'Fix It Felix Jr.'
This video shows the first cutscene of the upcoming Commodore 64 conversion of 'Fix It Felix Jr.'. The game was the game featured in the film 'Wreck It Ralph'. While there is already a browser version of the game from Disney and some homebrew versions for consoles, now a C64 port (WIP) was recently announced.

24.03.2020 - New C64 puzzle game 'Luma' released on
Luma is a laser based sliding puzzle game for the Commodore 64. Slide batteries, lasers and mirrors around to light the targets within the given shift count. With 128 levels Luma will keep you occupied for hours and test your puzzling skills to the max.

Farewell Patrick!

Farewell Patrick!Axis/Cascade is no more. We are all still shaken by the unexpected death of our friend and group mate Patrick aka Axis/Cascade. We wanted to express our sorrow, so I coded a little intro, which you can find in the C64 demo section of this page. The following text is a rough excerpt taken from the scroller:

Dear Patrick, may this be the condolence from the the group that was co-founded by you long time ago. We want to give you our last salute. I (Zeldin) know how much you were breathing the spirit of the scene. That's why I thought a goodbye demo would have made you happy. You and me exchanged lots of mails about how much we both enjoyed the good ol' days and of course: how much we miss them... It was this tie that emotionally connected us for over 15 years. Thanks for all your help in supporting the group and your indefatigable endeavour in spreading our name. Your tattoos were legendary! Thanks for your work on fb and youtube. Your channels were appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks for being such a good chap. You'll be sorely missed!!!
