15.12.2019 - New video from 'Retro Recipes' showing an interesting find on an old Amiga computer
Perifractic from 'Retro Recipes' examines an old Commodore Amiga 4000 computer, that was once used in the production of the well known Hollywood movie 'Apollo 13'. Hoping to find old footage of the movie on the hard disc led to an unexpected find.

15.12.2019 - New transparent Commodore C64C cases coming soon
PIXELWIZARD Retro Shop in collaboration with Individual Computers produced new transparent Commodore C64C cases. But this time made of polycarbonate. Even though there are some optical issues due to the molds and the production process the cases are looking awesome and they are a great addition to our gorgeous previous collection of retro colors. These cases are in production right now and should be ready for shipment short after the holidays. Get a first impression in this trailer video.

14.12.2019 - Sneak Preview - Puzzle Bobble for C64
There is a new video available that shows a preview of the forthcoming C64 port of the well known arcade called 'Puzzle Bobble'. It seems the development is near completion.

13.12.2019 - Firmware update for THEC64 mini available
Firmware 1.3.1 released. There is a new upgrade for THEC64 mini with some extra features added, extra joystick functionally and also a FREE EXTRA NEW GAME as a small Christmas present. The same upgrade file also adds a few small improvements to the newly released full-size THEC64!

Update since November 30th 2019: 10 Amiga Demos added, most of these are pre-90's era: Brainstorm Sounddisk 1, Brainstorm Sounddisk 2, Cave Megademo 1, Cave Megademo 2, Forces of the Pyramid, Freedom Force Megademo, Metalwar 2, No Brain - No Gain, Starline Megademo 1 and Tetragon Megademo. - 5 Amiga Animation added meanwhile, they are: Highlander Sword, Kent Team, Rotating Balls, Thames and Zeus - Some additions to the Amiga Diskmag section, they are: Seenpoint Issues 1,2,3,4, Sentinel Issues 1 and 2 and Total Solution Issue 1 and 2 - 4 Amiga Games have been added for your pleasure, they are: Cyber Blast 2, Killer Bees, Pyro-Mid and Robo-Tastic

12.12.2019 - The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 142 preview is now available to view online
There is afull colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 142 (Januar/Februar 2020) available and can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website. Some of the interesting articles in this issue are: Showreport Amiga 34, Special AmigaOS 3.1.4 part 3, Special FPGA Amiga Clone... And of course there's so much more actually in the magazine.

12.12.2019 - A new version of the Mega65 DevKit is presented, many questions answered!
The Mega65 (a C64/C65 compatible computer) team has announced on its website a new version of the DevKit, which is a version of the Mega65 aimed for developers to create programs for the machine and make them ready for when the final product is released.

10.12.2019 - New C64 Shmup 'Santron' available as free download
Santron is a fast-paced vertical shoot-em-up for the Commodore 64 (PAL). This game is a special Christmas version of Neutron, a game that was entered in RGCD's C64 16KB Cartridge GameDev Compo 2019. All programming, graphics, and sound by Sarah Jane Avory.

The C64 is back, this time full-sized with a working keyboard for the dedicated retro home-computer fan. Featuring three switchable modes – C64, VIC 20, and Games Carousel. 06.12.2019 - Komoda & Amiga + magazine issue 14 released
New issue (fourteen) of Komoda & Amiga + has been released. It is a paper magazine for all Commodore machines lovers. You could purchase in two language versions: Polish (25 zł + shipping) and English (8 euro + shipping)

05.12.2019 - ThED – MOS technology TED replacement for Commodore 264 series
This time it is not a story but rather a piece of news: There is work in progress on a TED replacement project. As we all know, TED is very often fried in all those precious C16s, C116s or Plus/4s and there is no replacement. The aim to change it was the reason to start the ThED project.

There is a new hardware from Evie Salomon available at her BackBit store: The TwoBit is a joystick doubler for your Commodore 64. Use a single joystick to play games without swapping ports, and with no latency; 3-way slide switch: 1 or 2 (joystick functions in that port), or Both (works for most games without changing setting); Compatible only with single-button joysticks (not for use with paddles, mice, light pens, 2-button joysticks); Safety feature prevents incompatible joysticks from causing harm; 3D printed ABS case.

Farewell Patrick!

Farewell Patrick!Axis/Cascade is no more. We are all still shaken by the unexpected death of our friend and group mate Patrick aka Axis/Cascade. We wanted to express our sorrow, so I coded a little intro, which you can find in the C64 demo section of this page. The following text is a rough excerpt taken from the scroller:

Dear Patrick, may this be the condolence from the the group that was co-founded by you long time ago. We want to give you our last salute. I (Zeldin) know how much you were breathing the spirit of the scene. That's why I thought a goodbye demo would have made you happy. You and me exchanged lots of mails about how much we both enjoyed the good ol' days and of course: how much we miss them... It was this tie that emotionally connected us for over 15 years. Thanks for all your help in supporting the group and your indefatigable endeavour in spreading our name. Your tattoos were legendary! Thanks for your work on fb and youtube. Your channels were appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks for being such a good chap. You'll be sorely missed!!!
