07.06.2020 - C64 mini game 'Alien War Reload' in only 499 bytes
This is a fully playable SHMUP that need less than 500 bytes of RAM. Each enemy fighter is a little faster than the previous one... How long can YOU keep up? The game was also created by Thundax/Xenon, who recently gave a breakout clone in less than 512 bytes.

07.06.2020 - Mario's Cement Factory for C64 finished and available
Originally 'Mario's Cement Factory' is a 1983 LCD game developed and published by Nintendo under their Game & Watch series. The game was ported in the last 5 months to C64. Now it's finished and released at itch.io, where it's free for download.

In this video 'Perifractic' from 'Retro Recipes' is inspecting if you controlling 2 computers with the same joystick can teach us how joysticks work and show us the *true* latency of THEC64 Maxi? It's 2 Computers, 1 Joystick!

06.06.2020 - Making a C64/C65 compatible computer - Fixing some floppy bugs
New entry in the developer blog: "Among everything else, we have been looking at some bugs with teh MEGA65's internal floppy controller. It was working most of the time, but would hang in various situations. The first problem was that it would hang during loading files a long way from the directory track. I was worried at first, that it was some problem with the MFM decoding not being good enough..."

06.06.2020 - C64 game 'Dragonaker' (SEUCK) released
'Dragonaker', is a mix between a ship shooter, in the purest classic style and one in the first person, similar to games like Combat school and its shooting range in which we will control our dragon and his sights to advance. The developers have defined it as 'Fire and fly' style.

05.06.2020 - New footage of a WIP C64 in the style of Pirates!
Carl-Henrik Skarstedt, the maker of 'Space Mogul' is currently working on a 512k cartridge game, which looks a lot like an open world, strategic simulation in the style of Pirates. A lot of progress made for entering ports and towns, including compression and an image conversion tool. Next up will be player animations in towns and starting to think about how to put in NPCs and setting up the inventory screen. Also some organization for the dialog interactions.

05.06.2020 - 'The Forever Extending Hungry Snake' - new C64 game for free
This is a brand new fast-paced hi score attack game created on theC64 full size computer, with aid of a collection of Public Domain tools from back in the 1980s-1990's. The game also comes with all of the game data and also source code so you are welcome to explore the project on your computer and try to make better or your own versions of this game. (Providing that if this whole source is used or modified, the game is released for free).

04.06.2020 - 'Demomaker - The Amiga years' - new crowdfunding campaign book
This book describes the history of the best demos made on Amiga as well as the history of the most emblematic and best known groups of the demomaker scene. Discover numerous pictures of demos through more than 450 pages as well as contributions of "sceners". This book is the first volume covering the years 1984 to 1993 with about 90 demos amongst the most famous and popular ones.
