02.04.2021 - Amiga game creator 'Redpill' V0.8.7 released
Redpill, the Amiga game creator, is a tool to empower people to create many games for Amiga without programming knowledge. It allows people to create 2D games with the true Amiga feeling. Supports both ECS and AGA Amigas, it is free and it is still in development. List of changes in 0.8.7: - Help information is available in the editor, press the (i) button in the bottom of the screen. - Fix in Force NTSC flag that can be used from the CLI or the Icon Tooltype. - Added Stamp action trigger that prints an object to the brackground of the level. - Change in screen refresh when the camera position moves abruptly.

01.04.2021 - Port of text/graphic adventure 'Kayleth' for Plus/4 released
'Kayleth' is a sci-fi adventure with cyberpunk elements from the mind of Stefan F. Ufnowski (who also coded Rebel Planet). Over 60 locations, each with colorful high-res graphics. Though there has been a C64 version, this one here is no mere conversion, but rather a "deluxe conversion". Two obvious things are the new title screen and the included manual. Also the game's graphics engine has been improved by a lot though; much faster text and graphics rendering. Furthermore this version doesn't have the issues of the C64 version.

01.04.2021 - TEOS - Commodore 64 multitasking char mode OS - Status #7
Video #7 of the TEOS project, a multitasking char based OS for the C64, showing a few updates this week. A lot of rewrites to the window framework have been done. Still not complete though but enough to show a couple of new things including sprites in applications, windows with no titlebars and custom fonts, as well as meeting an old acquaintance. The major change being dropping the inverted chars of the charset to free up 64 characters for applications to use (158 free chars in total assuming all controls are active). Windows are now also built as a control so using a lot of the common structure and code that was already created for all the other controls.

Have you been burnt by the 2015 keycaps Indigogo of Phase5 from Austria like us and many others? Jim felt the pain as well and went out creating his own C64 keycaps project. Having a long history in developing hardware for Commodore computers, if there is somebody who can pull this off, then this guy with decades of knowledge in the field! We talk with Jim about the journey of running a successful crowdfunding for C64 keycaps and many other stuff and developments he is involved in.Interview starts at 12:50​ minutes.
