C64 Drivers (& Tools)

You got C64 related hardware on second hand market but not the drivers to use it? This can be very annoying! It already happened to me. And because I collected a fair amount of software and drivers for different C64 hardware in the meantime, I thought, it might be of use for others. That's why this section is on this website, though it is not related to Cascade at all...

There have been always rumours about the possibility of writing own software for the FC3 Desktop. With the software on this disk it is in fact possible, although the documentation is very small. The documentation is in two formats. One is a .seq (I also included a SEQ-Reader), and one is in Vizawrite format, incase you still own that cool Wordprocessor.
With this little Tool, you should be able to rip grab any Picture as such a function wasn't implemented in the cartridge itself, like it was in the AR.
This utility makes your backups made with the FC3 autobootable. No more messing with file name. It always works...
Grab your favorite sprites from games, demo's and utilities... in just a few key touches.
On this disk are some small Utilies, which were especially written to work with your Action Replay, such as Demowriter, Sprite Editor, Musichacker etc. Well I don't think these tools are desperately needed, but hardware support is hardware support!
Some more Tools for your AR, more or less needless as the one mentioned above.
This is a special Version of the Cruel Cruncher, which was made by Elysium. It uses the extra 8K Ram of the Cartridge.
This is the Driver Disk V2.1 for the Expert Cartridge. The characteristic of the Expert Cartridge was, that it was able to store extra software in its ram, so that the use of the cartridge could be not only self-chosen, but there was furthermore the ability to write new software for it. There are plenty of tools on these disks, like backup, copies, freezers, grabbers, graphic-editors. Sadly I had no chance already to check it all neither to make any use of it.
