Bubis/RSC and BSZ/NST have made a Plus/4 version of the Bitfire IRQ loader. Features: Small program ($0200-$03FF), load with decompressing, IRQ handler for music, frame counter and SID detection.

12.05.2017 - C64c Raspberry Pi conversion frame
COREi64 started a Kickstarter campaign for a framework that mounts in an original C64c case. The end result is possibility to place a Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 in a C64c case.

12.05.2017 - SnapRip v1.2
FieserWolF released a new version of SnapRip. With SnapRip it is possible to extract koala, hires, petscii and the sprite-set from a Vice C64 snapshot file (*.vsf).

Modulot is a new puzzle game for the Commodore C64 made by xIII (code), Kompositkrut (music), Sorex (idea) and Dr. Science (help & bugfix).

05.05.2017 - D520 - Amiga
Thorsten Schubert is developing a RGB/audio to HDMI converter for the Amiga. With this converter it is possible to connect an Amiga to a modern monitor. Features: 50/60Hz, PAL, power from the Amiga, firmware update via the Amiga and scanlines. The price will be around 80 Euro.

FRGCB (Finnish Retro Game Comparison Blog) is a web page that writes about retro games. But the difference is that this blog compares the games between the different computers like the C64, Amiga, MSX, NES, CPC, DOS, etc. The most recent comparisons are: Kane (Mastertronic, 1986), FRGR #09: Bomulus and the Lost Crown (Teknopiste, 1986), Into The Eagle's Nest (Pandora, 1987), Quartet (Sega, 1986) and Congo Bongo (Sega, 1983).

Mr. Mind is a new game for the Commodore Plus/4. The game uses the rules and of the classic Mastermind game turned into a bit of an arcade in a very entertaining way. But be careful, it's very addictive.

The web page Amigos added new articles last month: Thomas the Tank Engine, Shadow of the Beast 3, Marvin's Marvelous Adventure, Attack of the Clones, Risk, Home Alone, Road Rash, Trivial Pursuit Genus Edition, Jungle Strike, Cluedo, Hostages, Nuclear War, Test Drive II, The Duel, Supercars II and the Amiga 3000.

05.05.2017 - Gunfright v1.10 - C64/128 & Plus/4
Gunfright is a game for the Commodore C64, C128 and the Plus/4. The game is developed by Emu and the music is from Saul Cross. Changes in this version: Improved the Bandit Draw speed, support for the SuperCPU for the C128 version and a new loading screen from STE.

Farewell Patrick!

Farewell Patrick!Axis/Cascade is no more. We are all still shaken by the unexpected death of our friend and group mate Patrick aka Axis/Cascade. We wanted to express our sorrow, so I coded a little intro, which you can find in the C64 demo section of this page. The following text is a rough excerpt taken from the scroller:

Dear Patrick, may this be the condolence from the the group that was co-founded by you long time ago. We want to give you our last salute. I (Zeldin) know how much you were breathing the spirit of the scene. That's why I thought a goodbye demo would have made you happy. You and me exchanged lots of mails about how much we both enjoyed the good ol' days and of course: how much we miss them... It was this tie that emotionally connected us for over 15 years. Thanks for all your help in supporting the group and your indefatigable endeavour in spreading our name. Your tattoos were legendary! Thanks for your work on fb and youtube. Your channels were appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks for being such a good chap. You'll be sorely missed!!!
