...freshly fished out of the net...13.03.2021 - DJ-player software for C64 SID-files 'DS/DJ-2000 mk1' (Alpha) released
DS/DJ-2000 mk1 is a DJ-player software for SID-files. It was first inspired on social media where someone wished for a native SID player that could mute channels. And then it grew from there, and obviously took a lot of inspiration from PT-1210 on the Amiga. This is a barely usable alpha version. It is headed for a major rewrite, but the developer wanted to share it as it is now.

11.03.2021 - CDTV Repairs - Commodore Amiga CDTV Trash to Treasure (pt2) - new video from 'RMC'
CDTV repairs are the order of the day today. How do we take the CDTV apart, does it go back together!? And how do we repair the CDTV CDROM drive? In this RMC Trash to Treasure restoration series I'm hoping to get to the bottom of all these questions and with any luck, have a working Commodore Amiga CDTV at the end of it! We're also joined by Jane Whittaker for an interview from a developers perspective and some fun stories of Commodore history.

09.03.2021 - New C64 game 'Alisa' released
This game is the end result of a learning process. The developer started of learning graphics and then the rest. So the gameplay came last and it might not be the greatest fun you'll ever had. It's very basic, fully written in Basic (compiled with Mospeed) and can be downloaded for a bargain, though.

08.03.2021 - New Amiga find at 'Games That Weren't' - Pac-Land V1
Ok, before you start shouting - yes, Pac-Land was indeed released on the Commodore Amiga, and it was pretty terrible too. However, it seems that things could have been very different indeed, when contributor Hank highlighted a video on YouTube showcasing a very different and much improved version.

06.03.2021 - WIP of 'Another World' port for C64 gets yet another preview video
A lot of work has been made the last few days on 'Another World' for C64 and the graphics engine has been completely redesigned. Now everything is rendered in a chunky buffer before being converted to bitmap graphics. Polygon blending and masking are now possible. No sprites and no pre-computed animation data used.

...from time to time, some thoughts need to get out...Farewell Patrick!
Author: Zeldin - written on 31.12.2014
Axis/Cascade is no more. We are all still shaken by the unexpected death of our friend and group mate Patrick aka Axis/Cascade. We wanted to express our sorrow, so I coded a little intro, which you can find in the C64 demo section of this page. The following text is a rough excerpt taken from the scroller:
Dear Patrick, may this be the condolence from the the group that was co-founded by you long time ago. We want to give you our last salute. I (Zeldin) know how much you were breathing the spirit of the scene. That's why I thought a goodbye demo would have made you happy. You and me exchanged lots of mails about how much we both enjoyed the good ol' days and of course: how much we miss them... It was this tie that emotionally connected us for over 15 years. Thanks for all your help in supporting the group and your indefatigable endeavour in spreading our name. Your tattoos were legendary! Thanks for your work on fb and youtube. Your channels were appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks for being such a good chap. You'll be sorely missed!!!
Mach's gut, Patrick... den Adler im Herzen, sge4ever!
