Cascade Amiga Demos

Here you will find many of the Cascade Amiga demos, that made the group famous on Amiga between 1988 the 1991.

Information for running these Amiga Demos:
The downloads below are either of file types like .zip, .dms, .adz, .adf or they are just plain binaries (without a file extension). All these files can be used with WinUAE emulator (see below) by simply "drag'n'drop" them into the emulator window. Keep in mind, that Amiga emulators will need a kickstart rom. More info here.

This is the second Megademo for Cascade from the Danish Division. Though it contains mainly parts made by members from Denmark, there is also a little contact part included, which was made by members from the Dutch division. Please note, that the danish guys used their own numbering for their megademos, that's why there are two Megademos 2...

This production is a collection of demo parts, that were supposed to be linked into a megademo, which was cancelled in the end. All parts were coded by Crackline/Dynax, with some of the graphics made by Skatemaster. Musics and some of the fonts are from various (non-Cascade) artists. Release year is guessed. Besides there is an according directory stamp, it is mentioned in one of the parts that this should have been the third megademo, so it should probably have been the successor of "Megademo 2" from Distance (see below), which was made in the very end of 1988. In the part "Defect Radio" the scroller stalls after a short while, so the part might be damaged.

Another Great Demo For The Losermann Demo Series
Another Great Demo For The Losermann Demo Series

This one part demo is a little mocking production against an Amiga scener, that obviously invoked some hate on himself :-) The demo might have been part of series, done by an anti coalition with the acronym 'RLKC' (which applies to the targeted scener's name). Music by Roly (Level 4 / Freedom Force).

Eye candy demo, which was made by Mathemagician, Embeepee and Sleepy Sleep. Copyright in the info screen reads 'Visual Mathematics International', but this demo is listed under Cascade flag, simply because the scrolltext in the main part contains solely informations, links and credits pointing to Cascade (given contact address, for example, and the font was drawn by Sleepy Sleep of Cascade). So this production presumably was already in the making when Mathemagician and Embeepee joined Cascade Denmark, which would make it their very first Cascade release. Maybe one of the involved persons can shed some light into issue, someday...

Megademo 2
Released: 00.12.1988

This megademo is the first demo for Cascade by Distance after joining and I (Zeldin) must say it's an impressive debut! Distance did a great job, coding all these nice parts and effects!
A Short word about the numbering of this megademo: This demo here is in some parts labeled as "Megademo 1" and in other parts as "Megademo 2". Truth is, that this is infact the second megademo of Cascade, because there's another megademo which is done before this one and labeled as V1.0 (also named "Fanatic"). This V1.0 version was made by Bruce & Bongo and Crackline between Sept. and Dec. 1988. I own only a bugged version, which I am not able to upload (yet). Funny enough, there also exists another "Megademo Two" (made by the members in Netherlands... scroll up to see), which in that manner should have been called "Megademo 3"... are you confused now? I hope so :-)

Sounddisk 1
Released: 15.06.1988

This music collection was (presumably) entirely made by Constrictor (with an intro coded by Bruce and Bongo, that you can load separately here). The handling of this music disk is a bit fiddly. Selecting a tune is done with pressing the according letter. To play the next music, you first have to stop the tune with left mouse button. But don't move the mouse pointer while doing this, because then the loader will stall. Also it's to mention, that the musics 'F' and 'M' are sadly broken due to a disk error. Hopefully a 100% version will be found someday. Musics in this production were done by Axk, George, Karsten Obarski, Mib, Pat, TSM, SLL and some unknown composers.

Released: 00.00.1988

I don't know much about this release. The scrolltext is stating that it is an import by Cascade USA and Canada. Afaik the slideshow itself was part of Deluxe Paint 2 (as show case for the program's abilities). Presumably the whole thing was imported to Europe and then linked with an Cascade intro by Simon and Ronny.
