13.04.2024 - 'Prince of Persia' port for VIC-20 (+35k) released - free for download
The famous 'Prince of Persia' by Jordan Mechner already got some impressive 8-bit versions, now there is one more. When VIC-20 developer Lechuck saw a version for the Spectrum, he thought that something similar, to some extent, could be done for the VIC-20. Given the difference in available RAM many simplifications had to be done. This is clearly noticeable in the movements (not as smooth as the original) and, especially, in the sword fighting. Besides this, this VIC-20 version includes 9 levels (these try to be similar to the 9 first levels of the original version) plus the final scene with the Princess.

12.04.2024 - 'IdentityWars - Amiga contra Atari ST' - C64 multiplayer game released - free for download
When Atari ST and the Amiga came out, these two systems and their fans fought a tough battle: which was the better system? A real war of identity. This "war" is made playable as a duel game with the corresponding logos through 12 levels. This culture war ends with the victory of the consoles and a little later with new, inexpensive PCs and 3D graphics cards.
